UPDATE: Independence Police have cancelled Silver Alert for missing elderly woman

The Independence Police Department has CANCELLED an Endangered SILVER Advisory for a missing adult incident that occurred at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, May 6, 2016. The Police Department has reported that 81 year old Nita Faye McRae, who suffers from dementia and high blood pressure has been located in Deepwater, MO and is safe.

The missing person is  Nita Faye McRae, 81,who is described as a white female, height 5 ft 3 inches, 135 lbs, with gray hair and brown eyes. McRae has been diagnosed with dementia and high blood pressure. She may be driving a Silver 2001 Saturn LS bearing Missouri license CU1 8F.

If you see this person or vehicle or have information about her whereabouts, call your local law enforcement immediately.
