HENRY COUNTY, Mo. – The body of Jason Bailey, 37, of Clinton, was recovered in Henry County, along the shoreline of Truman Lake.

Around 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, Henry County Dispatch received a call from two men who were arrowhead hunting along Truman Lake and discovered the body about 20 feet off the shoreline. The Missouri State Highway Patrol Water Division assisted the Sheriff’s Office with the recovery of the body.
Henry County Coroner Dain Sisk has transferred the body to Kansas City where an autopsy will be performed on today.

Body of missing man recovered
According to Sheriff J. Kent Oberkrom, the body of Jason Bailey, age 37 of Clinton was recovered along the shoreline of Truman Lake. Bailey had been missing since January 20, 2016 when he left his house on foot about 6:00 p.m. Several searches of the area with 100’s of volunteers were conducted over that past three weeks.
Henry County Dispatch received a call around 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, February 11, 2016 from two men who were arrowhead hunting along Truman Lake and discovered the body about 20 feet off the shoreline.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol Water Division deployed a boat from the Sparrowfoot Boat Ramp and assisted the Sheriff’s Office with the recovery of the body.
Henry County Coroner Dain Sisk has transferred the body to Kansas City where an autopsy will be performed on Friday morning. The investigation continues with the Sheriff’s Office.
