RAY COUNTY, Mo. – A Lawson man was initially arraigned on felony drug charges in Ray County Tuesday morning.

David D. Lindsey, 27, entered a plea of not guilty to three felony counts of possession of a controlled substance and one count of delivery of a controlled substance. Officers responded to a call back on January 2, 2016 related to theft. According to a probable cause statement, a victim found firearms and jewelry to be missing and suspected Lindsey and an accomplice had stolen them in return for drugs.

When questioned by law enforcement, the accomplice gave consent to search and officers found multiple syringes containing controlled substances. Lindsey and the accomplice would allegedly trade the firearms and jewelry for the drugs.

A pre-emptory docket hearing is scheduled for December 18, 2018.
