UPDATE: 12 a.m. – The body of T. Gale Thompson was found in Stevens Lake Park in Columbia.
According to Columbia police, the body was found at approximately 8:15 p.m. Sunday, July 3, and subsequently confirmed its identity.
COLUMBIA, Mo. – The Columbia Police Department has issued a silver advisory for missing 82 year old T. Gale Thompson.
Mr. Thompson was last heard from in the 2500 
block of Brookside Court on Saturday at approximately 8:30 p.m. Mr. Thompson is a white male, 6 foot 2 inches tall and weighing about 165 pounds with gray hair and hazel eyes. He has a medical diagnosis of dementia. At approximately 8:30 p.m., Mr. Thompson contacted the airport shuttle service, as well as the airport, to cancel his ride and flight that he scheduled for this evening. His vehicle and cellphone were found at his residence. Mr. Thompson is considered endangered.
